Le Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) & nbsp; approved a $5.03 million technical assistance grant as part of the implementation of the Energy Services Super Enterprises (ESCO) Accelerator Program in Africa (ASAP) in three countries such as Rwanda, Senegal, and South Africa. A program that will improve energy performance in the public and private sectors.

ASAP paves the way for the successful implementation of downstream energy efficiency investment programs, in which the Banque africaine de développement , the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa and other partners will invest. Its main objective is to catalyze private sector investments in energy efficiency by establishing and operationalizing super-ESCOs, in order to improve the efficiency and quality of electricity supply, promote energy conservation, and stimulate the transition to more sustainable and greener economies.

According to Saer DIOP, the Director-General of the Senegalese Agency for Energy Economics and Management (AEME), “this innovative program will allow Senegal to create its Super ESCO and stimulate the energy efficiency market in order to improve energy performance in the public and private sectors.”
