From 29 to 30 March 2023 in Jacqueville, a seaside town located 60 kilometers west of Abidjan, the Ivorian economic capital, a workshop was held to update the practical provisions for the 2023 planting campaign.

The workshop to update the practical provisions for the 2023 planting campaign is part of the objective of facilitating the implementation of the Assistance Program for the creation and sustainable management of rubber plantations This is sustainable from the Association of Rubber Professionals of Côte d'Ivoire (APROMAC). To this end, Charles-Emmanuel Yacé, Chairman of the APROMAC Board of Directors, urged the fifty participants to work together to consolidate the gains left by his predecessors who developed APROMAC and which allow Côte d'Ivoire to Ivory of moving forward.

In reality, Côte d'Ivoire is the world's third largest producer of natural rubber after Thailand and Indonesia and the leading African producer. According to Yacé, “natural rubber is, today, the second largest agricultural speculation in Côte d'Ivoire after cocoa. The economy of Ivory Coast is based on agriculture. Agriculture built this country. We need to work together like our predecessors.”
