During the procès on call , the General Prosecutor's Office had requested confirmation of the decision handed down at first instance. Indeed, Ndeye Khady Guèye, former director of the Economic Promotion Fund (FPE), and assureur Babacar Mané were declared not guilty on Monday 6 February by the Dakar Court of Appeal.

On 20 April 2017, the court sentenced the two suspects to 4 years in prison with suspended sentences for money laundering and illegal interest taking. And they should jointly pay to the State of Senegal the sum of 500 million CFA francs in damages.
