From 6 to 10 February 2023, a delegation from the Ministry of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, led by Silue Sionseligam, Director of Project Evaluation, visited Touba and Koro localities (Bafing region) and Odienné (Kabadougou region). It had to inform and raise awareness among the populations of its production areas about the 2023 Soybean campaign.

The pilot phase of the soy campaign was launched by Minister of State Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani since 2019 in Touba. Indeed, Silue Sionseligam expects many “young people” to be interested in soybean cultivation. They will be given priority in accordance with the instruction of the Head of State who declared 2023 the year of youth. And the Minister of State has instructed us to give pride of place to youth in all the activities we carry out on the ground.”

For her part, the emissary of the Minister of State Kobenan Adjoumani asked young people to register in order to better organize land allotments and respect the established schedule.
