Since Thursday, February 2, 2023, the National Financial Information Processing Unit (CENTIF) has a new headquarters in Mali.

An R+4 building built on a plot of 909 m2, this jewel cost around 1,096 billion CFA francs. It consists of one (1) control station, one (1) security office, one (1) parking, one (1) restaurant, twenty nine (29) toilets, two meeting rooms (02) and twenty six (26) offices. With a view to combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism, this administrative authority is responsible for the processing and transmission of financial information.

According to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alousséni SANOU, the endowment and equipment of this building is in line with the “will” and “determination” of the transitional president, Assimi Goita, to fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. For his part, the head of department considered that it was also a question of providing CENTIF members and workers with a more adequate and welcoming working environment for better performance of their functions.
