A partnership document was signed on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 between Togo and the United Nations System. It was at the Ministry of Development Planning and Cooperation. The document was signed by Aliou DIA, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Togo and Ablamba Ahoéfavi JOHNSON, Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic.

The strategic document signed between the two countries defines the collective, coherent and integrated response of the United Nations to the government's development priorities in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Indeed, through this cooperation framework, the United Nations system is committed to achieving three priorities aligned with the ambitions of the 2020-2025 government roadmap aimed at making Togo a peaceful country and a modern nation with inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This will involve “supporting more inclusive and sustainable growth”; “supporting the development of human capital and access to basic social services for all”; and “promoting more inclusive, effective and accountable governance to preserve security and peace.”

It should be noted that the implementation of this Cooperation Framework amounts to 247 million dollars, i.e. 150 billion FCFA to be mobilized and 42 projects and reforms to be implemented.
