The Burkinabe bank Coris Bank International SA, (CBI SA) closed its annual financial year with a net profit of 56.4 billion CFA francs, up 21.33% year-on-year, despite the difficult security and political situations in Burkina Faso in 2022. In its report, the institution notes that this result was supported by a clear increase in its net banking income (GNP), its gross operating income, its total balance sheet and a control of its expenses

CBI SA's net banking income reached 110.5 billion CFA francs as of December 31, 2022, up 24.2% compared to 2021. According to the bank, this increased net banking income is the result of “a good contribution from all business lines”. Thus, it focuses on the bank's overall interest margin, including net interest received as well as commissions received on transfers, foreign notes and other banking income, increased by 25.39% to 77.9 billion CFA francs at the end of
