The executive secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) of Haut-Katanga, Mymy Fabienne Mukulomoya, announced on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 that about ten people have been dismissed and others will be removed gradually and to the extent that they are reported.

“ The population, political actors, civil society actors inform us and complain that money is everywhere in the centers of Haut-Katanga in general and especially in Lubumbashi. Unfortunately, the people who refer the matter to us do not provide us with adequate evidence to enable us to guide our decision or to punish a certain number of people. It still allows us to start the investigation procedures and that's what we did,” said the executive secretary of the CENI. According to her, voter identification and enrolment operations are free and therefore those who compromise are sanctioned.
