Businesses in Quebec are thinking of starting to increase their economic exchanges with West Africa. To do this, they implemented a new tool “the Senegal-Québec-Canada Business Circle”, which was launched at the end of January.

The establishment of the Senegal-Québec-Canada Business Circle is part of the desire of François Legault's government to increase the economic marketing activities of Québec's representations abroad. Indeed, according to a spokeswoman for the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie at the launch of the Business Circle, “the Business Circle will allow the exchange of strategic information and the development of promising partnerships and successful projects for Quebec and Senegalese companies.” According to the Government of Quebec, the longer-term objective is to develop “the full potential of our business ties” with Senegal.
