To this end, the investment company Mstudio and the Adaverse accelerator have each decided to set up support initiatives to help these tech companies.
In order to support the best tech entrepreneurs in West Africa, the investment company Mstudio based in Ivory Coast has launched its services. He plans to set up 30 major start-ups in the sub-region by 2026. According to Cédric Mangaud, co-founder and CEO of Mstudio, “Of the $10.1 billion raised across the continent between 2021 and 2023, startups in French-speaking West Africa contributed only $60.7 million, or 0.6% of funding raised. Worse, in French-speaking Africa, only 10 start-ups UEMOA raised funds of at least $1 million in 2022.”
For its part, the Adaverse accelerator has announced the launch of a school for web 3.0 entrepreneurs in Africa. These entrepreneurs will be trained via participatory webinars and podcasts, led by blockchain experts, accomplished business leaders, and industry thought leaders from around the world. Noted that Adaverse is backed by the Cardano blockchain.
