The company explains this poor performance by a 21% drop in its turnover (36.1 billion FCFA) at the end of December 2022. Also, Unilever Côte d'Ivoire indicated that it had suffered “a significant shortfall in terms of sales and margins”, due to the exit of the tea business in the 4th quarter of 2021, following the decision of Unilever Group to sell this business to the CVC Capital Partners fund
