In a press release issued on Monday, June 5, 2023, International Finance Corporation (IFC) announced that it had arranged a pr& Circ; and syndicated 500 million dollars in favor of the Nigerian cement group

The syndicated loan granted to the Nigerian cement group BUA Cement Style”, "serif"> will be used to finance two new lines of production that runs in part on alternative fuels derived from waste and solar energy. This funding consists of a of $160.5 million on SFI's own account and a loan of $94.5 million through the Co-Financing Portfolio Program (MCPP) that it manages. The remaining $245 million comes from other syndicate members: the African Development Bank ($100 million), Africa Finance Corporation ($100 million), and the German development finance institution Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft ($45 million).
