From Monday 10 to Tuesday 11 April 2023, the World Parliamentary Forum organized by took place in Washington. World Bank Group (GBM) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). On the occasion of this meeting, was a Guinean delegation led by the President of the Transition Legislative Body, Dr. Dansa Kourouma.

The World Parliamentary Forum is a meeting that has offered member countries a space for exchanges and advocacy in terms of cooperation, development and transparency in the management of public affairs. On the agenda of the discussions was the Guinean transition and the support of the American authorities for the advent of a genuine democratic society in Guinea. The objective of this Global Forum is, among other things, to open the debate with a view to promoting a new global financial architecture.

Indeed, in terms of global geopolitics, humanity is facing serious food and financial crises due in part to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. A situation that reinforces the precarious situation of already vulnerable populations around the world. Also, rising market prices and low growth rates do not call for a rapid return to normal. Noted that this Global Parliamentary Forum is one of the rare opportunities to discuss the challenges of the world of today and tomorrow. It brought together 200 parliamentarians and other major actors in finance and civil society.
