Le lundi 17 avril 2023 a eu lieu à Ouagadougou a day of exchanges between institutions involved in the management of public finances. These are the Court of Auditors, the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT) and the Ministry in charge of the economy.

The exchange day, initiated following the collaboration of the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the Court of Auditors, was part of the vision of improving communication between the three entities but also of creating a better synergy of actions. Indeed, with the aim of promoting active collaboration between the three entities, each of the stakeholders is given an opportunity to express the difficulties encountered in collaboration, their expectations and to propose possible solutions to remove existing bottlenecks.

According to the first president of the Court of Auditors, Latin Poda, these exchanges allowed each party to define relevant terms or frameworks for discussing between the various actors and to address issues concerning the legal framework for their collaboration. For him, “this meeting is an opportunity taken to get the Court of Auditors out of the reproach of lethargy and inefficiency often expressed by the population against it.” In reality, the Court of Auditors is facing enormous challenges, especially in terms of its operational capacities.
