The Minister of Trade, Industry and the Promotion of SMEs, Souleymane Diarrassouba announced on Thursday 23 February during a visit to the exhibition center that the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) will be held from 21 to 25 in November 2023, in Abidjan.

Diarrassouba who was accompanied by members of the IATF Advisory Board, the president of Afreximbank, Professor Benedict Okechukwu Oramah and the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, who presided over the visit to the exhibition park, “this visit to the exhibition center is an opportunity for us to show the members of the advisory board that Côte d'Ivoire is working to meet its commitments in terms of terms of construction, in particular the construction of infrastructures to host the next scheduled Inter-African Fair. From 21 to 25 November 2023, in Abidjan”.

In reality, the IATF is an initiative set up, as part of the operationalization of the African Continental Free Trade Area, by the African Union in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank ( Afreximbank), with a view to promoting intra-African trade. Côte d'Ivoire has been designated the host country for the 2023 edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), at the end of the 2nd edition held from 15 to 21 November 2021 in Durban, South Africa.
