In the fourth quarter of 2022, the Togolese licensing committee examined 13 projects and approved 12 of them, for a total amount of 43 billion CFA francs. Several sectors have benefited from the investments. These are textiles, wood and construction, agri-food, mechanics and services.

99% of the total amount of approved projects come from foreign direct investments. Indeed, four projects are dominated by Indian investors and two by Singaporean investors with a total amount of 11 billion CFA francs each. A Chinese project has been approved for an investment of 172 million CFA francs

A single Chinese project has been approved for an investment of 172 million CFA francs. However, only a small percentage of approved projects were driven by domestic capital, highlighting the need to further develop domestic investment. Last December, the Ministry of Investment Promotion thus announced that the country had accumulated 24 new investment projects, for a total amount of 107.1 billion FCFA, by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2022. 14 of these projects were aligned with the Investment Code and 10 admitted to the Free Zone regime
