After a double workshop on the revitalization of structures on Friday 3 March 2023 in Yamoussoukro, adjustments were proposed for better operationalization of local integrity committees and anti-corruption platforms.

Anti-corruption platforms will now have tools to produce reports on the basis of which national statistics will be compiled and targeted awareness-raising actions undertaken. Indeed, in order to create a symbiosis between all actors in the field so that these civil society organizations become more effective, measures will be taken. The High Authority for Good Governance (HABG) created these committees with the primary mission of monitoring the phenomenon in localities. He wants permanent interaction between the population and the Administration in order to curb corruption.

According to the director of awareness-raising and education at HABG, Jacques III Achiaou, they need to be empowered, to have resources to be able to function. For him, “Ivorians need to be taught again to have values, to give them back values, that is the basis of the fight against corruption.”
