The Mali Friendship Hotel hosted a high-level meeting from 20 to 22 February 2023, led by the Central Office for Combating Illicit Enrichment in Mali (OCLEI). This meeting took place with the aim of conducting an intensive and effective fight against corruption in Africa in general and in Mali in particular.

300 participants attended the opening ceremony of this conference, including Malians and 80 participants from 35 countries on 5 continents. Under the chairmanship of the President of the Transition, Colonel Assimi Goita (represented by the Head of Government), discussions during the meeting focused on the theme “fight against corruption: new dynamics, recovery of illicit assets and international cooperation”.

The objective of the meeting, according to the guiding idea, is to elicit a response to calls made by African countries for governance reforms and for the fight against corruption to be intensified.
