The Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Rose Mutombo Kiese and the United Nations Under-Secretary, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Africa of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ahunna Eziakonwa held on Monday, February 6 February 2023 a working session in the minister's office in Kinshasa-Gombe. At the heart of the discussions was the existing partnership between the Ministry of Justice and UNDP.

The two authorities discussed ongoing reforms in the justice sector with the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructures, most of which are in an outdated state, and governance. According to Ahunna Eziakonwa, “UNDP invests a lot in the area of fighting corruption. There is a key partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the other ministries because we are convinced that corruption can be eradicated in this country to fight poverty. The DRC is a country that is very rich in resources. But in the absence of good governance, these benefits do not benefit the entire Congolese population. To ensure that these resources are well managed, they must benefit all Congolese.”
