South Africa is the 3rd victim of cybercrime in the world, according to Interpol. To fight against this evil, the government is joining forces with France to fund control strategies.

South Africa and France have signed a cooperation agreement to fight cybercrime. This agreement aims to strengthen the capacities of the Special Investigative Unit (SIU) in cybercrime. It will also create an anti-corruption academy in Tshwane, a municipality in Gauteng province
