Thierry Boutin's trial took place on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 April before the Paris Judicial Court. He is being tried for manipulating the price of Dolphin shares and for money laundering. Thierry Boutin is being prosecuted before the criminal court for artificially inflating the value of the title between April 2017 and January 2018. The parquet national financier (PNF) accuses him of maintaining confusion about his status as a financial investment advisor, while he was not, and issued massive purchase recommendations based on false information

However, he has already been convicted twice by the criminal courts. In 2008, he was convicted for using inside information and in 2010, for fraud. He was also sanctioned by the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) three times in 2007 and 2008 for disseminating misleading information and for misconduct by insiders, and owes the State Treasury 2.2 million euros in fines, which he never paid. The court will issue its decision on 25 May.
