The press release published by FGIS announced that “the Gabonese Strategic Investments Fund (FGIS) alerts the public to fraud attempts using its name and logo by creating fake accounts visible on social networks, including Facebook ”. The press release states that “publications invite individuals to invest in fictitious products and investments. These accounts are not authentic and constitute identity theft.”
noted that the FGIS is the exclusive trustee of the Sovereign Fund of the Gabonese Republic (FSRG) and unallocated holdings in the Gabonese State portfolio.
