Heads of jurisdiction were made aware of their roles and responsibilities in preventing and fighting corruption in Lomé on Monday 17 April. It was an exchange session between the High Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption and Related Offences (HAPLUCIA) and the heads

of jurisdiction.

HAPLUCIA initiated an exchange session with heads of jurisdiction in order to consider approaches and solutions to combat this phenomenon, which unfortunately does not spare the Togolese judicial system. Several modules were presented to the participants. These are the “Presentation of HAPLUCIA: its mandate, its missions and achievements”, the “Roles and responsibilities of heads of jurisdiction in the fight against corruption”, “Judicial ethics and ethics and the fight against corruption”, and the “Problem of prosecutors in the justice system: what strategic approach to combat the phenomenon?


The Chief of Staff to the Minister of Justice and Legislation, Kadanga Tchalim mentioned that the fight against corruption and similar crimes is a constant and permanent concern of the country's authorities.
