.In southern Mauritania, the country's state has won new funding to implement the Kiffa Drinking Water Supply Project (AEP). The $30 million loan is provided by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD). The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) intervened with financing of 100 million dollars, 37.87 million dollars and 40 million dollars respectively for this hydraulic project. According to the Mauritanian Minister for Economic Affairs and the Promotion of Productive Sectors, Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, 317 million dollars will be needed to complete the Kiffa AEP project to
its end.
