With the intention of promoting entrepreneurship in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the non-governmental organization (NGO) working in the agriculture and processing sector pleaded last weekend for the creation by the government of an agricultural credit bank.

During an interview, Roger Mombo, the managing director of the NGO Congo Bio, announced that the organization is working with available resources. Indeed, according to him, they will succeed in the challenge of food security if the Congolese government creates an agricultural credit bank to support entrepreneurs in this sector. For him, entrepreneurs in the field of cassava, maize and soy processing work with their own funds, which are limited.

“We work in the field of cassava, corn and soy processing because human strength lies in food and there is nothing greater than food that gives balance to the body,” he suggests. According to him, “out of the desire to offer my household good quality food, I was motivated to support my country, starting with Kinshasa, tomorrow the DRC and then internationally.”
