After obtaining all necessary internal regulatory approvals, Afreximbank's Fund for African Export Development (FEDA) has acquired a 5% stake in Geregu Power Plc. FEDA is one of Nigeria's leading power generation companies with a capacity of over 430 megawatts. Indeed, for the Afreximbank subsidiary, this is a strategic minority acquisition and a highly strategic asset in achieving the country's electricity sector roadmap. The amount of the transaction has not been announced.
