At a press conference, as part of the company's 47th anniversary on Friday, February 24, 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Sonangol, Gaspar Martins presented the company's performance results temporary national oil companies, as they have not yet been audited.

The Angolan Hydrocarbons Company (Sonangol) recorded an increase of 44% in 2022 compared to 2021, representing a turnover of $12.6 billion in 2022 and estimated operating results to $4.9 billion. Indeed, based on the data presented, Sonangol recorded the highest annual turnover since ceasing to function as a dealer, with a turnover of 42%, higher than 2021, and an EBIDTA (operating income before interest, taxes, depreciation) greater than 44% compared to the same period last year, with a positive net result.

Sonangol claimed to have registered a 46% increase in its investments and a reduction in its debt with its suppliers.
