On Monday, March 6, the Ministry of Civil Service and Public Sector Transformation, the Operational Office for Monitoring the Emerging Senegal Plan (Bos/PSE) and Giz (German Technical Cooperation) presented the results of the Workshop of strategic orientation of the flagship reform “Modernization of the public service”. It was noted that of the 60 proposals made to this end, there are 30 priority measures.

The strategic orientation workshop for the flagship reform “Modernization in the public service” was organized with the agreement of the Operational Bureau for Monitoring the Emerging Senegal Plan (Bos/PSE), the Ministry of Public Service and Public sector transformation and Giz. During the workshop, there was a presentation of five days of work by 75 actors. According to Khady Fall of Bos/PSE, the discussions resulted in the proposal of 60 measures that can contribute to effective and efficient administration. 30 of the 60 measures are prioritized, divided into three categories such as Governance, digitalization and human resources management.

Governance in this elaborate strategy proposes the establishment of a policy for welcoming, informing and orienting users in the Administration, facilitating access to public services for users (single points of contact, simplification of administrative procedures). Digitalization is among the key points of the reform. The five days of work that allowed stakeholders to put several proposals on the table. This aspect has been taken into account. One part is dedicated to digitalization as a transformation tool. This digitalization will create profound changes and the creation of new jobs.”
