The State of Senegal lifted on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the level of the UEMOA financial market the sum of 125.727 billion FCFA, by through the Directorate-General for Public Accounting and the Treasury (DGCPT). At the end of its issuance of a simultaneous auction of vouchers assimilable from the 364-day Treasury and similar obligations from the Treasury of 3, 5 and 7 years organized in partnership with UMOA-Titres.

The sender had set auction an amount of 120 billion FCFA. The global submissions of investors amounted to 142.091 billion FCFA. Which corresponds to a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction of 118.41%.

The amount of tenders selected is 125.727 billion FCFA (exclusively taken on bonds and bonds of 3 and 5 years) and the one rejected 16.364 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 88.48%.

Investors whose bids have been selected will end up with a weighted average return of 7.16% for BAT, 7.82% for bonds of 3 years and 7.75% for those aged 5.

The DGCPT promises investors to reimburse them for the bonds issued first working day following the due date set at January 31, 2027. The interests will be paid in advance by precounting them against the nominal value of these vouchers.

As for the repayment of the principal of the bonds, it is scheduled the first business day following the February 2 due date 2029 for those aged 3 and on February 2, 2031 for those aged 5. Le Trésor Senegalese public will pay interest payments annually at the rate of 6.30% for 3-year bonds and 6.45% for 5-year bonds from end of the first year.
