The General Directorate of Public Accountancy and of the Treasury (DGCPT) obtained the sum of 154 billion FCFA from investors in the UEMOA financial market. It was Friday, January 16 2026, following its issuance of a targeted auction of assimilable vouchers of 364-day treasury and comparable 3- and 5-year Treasury bonds organized in partnership with UMOA-Titres.

The DGCPT plans to ensure the strategy of financing the budgetary needs of the State of Senegal. For this reason, the issuer had put an amount of 140 billion CFA francs up for auction. Les global investor submissions amounted to 169.684 billion FCFA. This corresponds to a coverage rate for the amount put up for auction by 121.20%.

The amount of the selected bids is 154 billion FCFA and that rejected 15.684 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 90.76%.

Investors whose bids have been selected will end up with a weighted average return of 6.96% for bonds, 7.28% for bonds of 3 years and 7.69% for those of 5 years.

The DGCPT promises investors to repay the bonds on the first day working according to the due date fixed on January 17, 2027. As for the payment of interest, she will do it in advance by precounting them on the nominal value of these vouchers.

As for the repayment of the principal of the bonds, the DGCPT intends to do so on first business day following the due date of January 19, 2029 for those aged 3 and on January 19, 2031 for those aged 5. The interests will be paid annually at a rate of 6.30% for 3-year bonds and 6.45% for those aged 5, starting at the end of the first year.
