The services of the U.S. Embassy in Ivory Coast announced that the Indian-American Businessman, Ajay Banga was on a working visit from 5 to 7 March 2023.

The United States candidate for President of the World Bank Group was at a meeting with the leaders of the African Development Bank Group ( BAD ), at the institution's headquarters in the Ivorian economic capital. During his visit, he met with the President of the African Development Bank Akinwumi Adesina , members of the financial institution's senior management, and directors of the group's board of directors, before a brief press briefing.

Les discussions ont porté sur des principaux programmes de la World Bank , including reducing extreme poverty, supporting inclusive growth, fighting climate change, and addressing issues such as fragility and pandemics to gather feedback to further inform his vision of the Bank.
