Spot gold was down 0.5% to $2,645.38 per ounce at 11:25 GMT, after reaching a record high of $2,685.42 last week. American gold futures lost 0.2% to $2,665.70. Spot silver fell 1.3% to $31.46, platinum fell 1.7% to $985.25, and palladium fell 2.2% to $991.79.
