The Ivorian government has signed a memorandum of understanding with data center operator Raxio Data Centre Côte d'Ivoire. Revealed on Monday, June 16, this planned collaboration is perceived by the executive as a key step in the implementation of the national data sovereignty strategy, aimed at strengthening the digital transformation of public services.

Located in the Village of Innovation and Technologies (VITIB), about 30 kilometers from Abidjan, the CIV1 center offers a particularly robust infrastructure: redundant power supply, permanent supervision, connectivity open to all operators, and integration with national networks such as the exchange point CIVIC. These characteristics not only allow continuous operation, but also total independence from foreign infrastructures, a crucial point for the management of public data.

This partnership is part of a larger dynamic. Côte d'Ivoire, through its Ministry of Digital Transition, has been pursuing an ambitious digital transformation policy for several years. In March 2025, the PARAE project (Program to Support the Reform of Electronic Administration) already provided for the establishment of an eco-responsible government data center. The use of Raxio CIV1 reinforces this strategy, by providing a solution that is immediately operational, certified, and compliant with international security standards
