The second edition of the ECOWAS Hackathon brought together participants from 11 countries who vied in a frantic race to solve digital problems over 48 hours. Three teams won after 48 hours of sacrifice. The team from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, known as “Deylol”, emerged victorious by winning first place with an impressive score of 6750 points. She received a $10,000 check, certification kits, and laptops for each team member.

The Benin team, “N4tion,” took second place with 6650 points, which earned them an $8,000 check and certification kits. Then the Nigerian team “Error” took third place with 6250 points and was awarded a check for 6,000 dollars as well as certification kits. The eight other participating teams each received a check for $1,000

In addition, Miss Elizabeth Sheriff of Sierra Leone distinguished herself as the best female participant in the event, receiving a $3,000 prize.
