The Minister of Economy and Planning participated in the African Investment Forum on Friday, November 4, 2022, in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire. As the representative of Angola, at a round table on the Lusophone Compact, Mario Caetano João presented investment opportunities in Angola.

In partnership with the African Development Bank, the third edition of the “Africa Investment Forum” took place under the slogan “the biggest market of transactional investment from Africa”. Commercial sponsors, decision makers from around the world, and brokers were on the occasion. According to the organizers, “13 projects have been identified with a total value of 3.68 billion US dollars. Each is designed to promote Africa's self-sufficiency and resilience in the face of future shocks.” Thus, Angola has an indicative portfolio of projects receiving funding, estimated at approximately 528 million US dollars for the agriculture, energy and industry sectors.
