The third phase of the 2023 cohort of the Business Plan Competition is open for young entrepreneurs for ambitious young people interested in starting their own business. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Monrovia Business Startup Center (BSC), with support from UNDP as part of the Livelihood and Job Creation Project

The third phase of the 2023 cohort of the Business Plan Competition targets 300 young people from seven counties: Montserrado, Grand Bassa, Grand Cape Mount, Grand Gedeh, Sinoe, Nimba, and Lofa. These young people will participate in two days of business skills training and a $500 start-up grant competition. The competition aims to foster entrepreneurship among young people in Liberia, identifying their needs and challenges and developing innovative and creative solutions. The 300 enterpreneurs/businesses have had access to grants of up to 500 USD to start and grow their businesses in the fields of agriculture, information technology, transport, food processing, manufacturing, etc
