The financial results at the end of September 2023, published on Tuesday, October 31, indicate a drop of 397.5% compared to the net profit of 295.6 million FCFA that the colored fabric producer had achieved in the 3rd quarter of 2022. Uniwax justifies this underperformance by the fall in demand for loincloth due to inflation and by “ les difficultés de paiement en devises par certains clients hors Uemoa et les effets de l' embargo sur le Niger, l' un de ses plus gros marchés à l' export ” .
