The 47th ordinary session of the Board of Governors of Central Banks and Arab Monetary Institutions was held on Sunday, September 18, 2023. The Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, who chaired the session, said that

Benabderrahmane indicated that Algeria is showing resilience in the face of multiple economic crises, after referring to the upward curves of economic indicators. According to the Chief Executive, “Algeria is experiencing remarkable developments in terms of macroeconomic and financial indicators. The gross domestic product reached 233 billion dollars in 2022 and the average GDP per capita was 5,187 dollars for the same year.” He also noted that this upward trend has been maintained during the current fiscal year, despite the fall in fuel prices
