La direction nationale de la Banque centrale des Etats de l' Afrique de l' Ouest (BCEAO) Cotonou a abrité le vendredi dernier la quatrième et dernière quarterly consultation meeting between the institution and the The Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (APBEF) of Benin. The meeting revolved around three main points.

The first point addressed during the discussions between the BCEAO and the APBEF last Friday concerns Circular No. 04-2017/CB/C on risk management in credit institutions and financial companies of the UMOA. The second highlights the repatriation of export earnings and the third point relates to the implementation, by each financial institution, of due diligence related to the connection to the interoperable digital financial services platform (PISFN). It was also an opportunity for the National Director of the BCEAO to raise awareness among Bank Managing Directors on the important issues related to compliance with Opinion No. 002-06-2015 relating to the procedures for dealing with the pre-financing of merchandise exports
