The Ivorian Government and the African Development Bank (AfDB) are organizing, on August 26 and 27, 2020, the fifty-fifth (55th) Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the forty-sixth (46th) Assembly Annual of the African Development Fund (ADF).

The Annual Meetings bring together all the Governors and Alternate Governors of the 54 regional African member countries and the 27 non-regional members of the AfDB. They represent the most important event of the financial institution.

The 2020 Annual Meetings, initially scheduled for May 25 to 29, 2020, will be held virtually for the very first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The statutory documents were adopted through postal voting. The program has been lightened to focus on activities around the election of the President of the institution which will be done electronically.

The opening ceremony is placed under the Presidency of his Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic. Mrs. Nialé KABA, Minister of Planning and Development, President of the Board of Governors will lead the technical work and the statutory meetings of the Board of Governors.
