Lors de la 5th edition of the Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Awards 2023, the State of Nigeria won the award for the best state in procurement compliance. It was last Monday, July 31, at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.

The 2023 Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Awards is the largest gathering of procurement and supply chain professionals. It lifts the veil on the success of organizations and individuals and also raises the bar for excellence in industry. Indeed, leading procurement experts, teams, and the best procurement and supply chain organizations have been recognized, and for this reason, the State of Nigeria has won the award for the best state in procurement compliance.

On the other hand, three public service procurement officers from Lagos State were also honored in recognition of their exemplary performance as procurement professionals. These include the Director of Procurement of the Lagos Waste Management Agency, Bolanle Adeniran; the Director of Procurement, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Jijoho Kappo; and Head, Purchasing, Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation, Iyabo Okoya-Adelanwa

Pour sa part, le directeur General of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, Fatai Onafowote, was also named Public Sector Procurement Personality of the Year at the event.
