From Monday 09 to Tuesday 10 October, the actors of the financial ecosystem met in Lomé for the 5th annual meeting of the Credit Information Office of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (BIC-UEMOA)

Placed under the theme “improving risk management and credit quality through the BIC”, the BIC partners, who are players in the financial ecosystem, discussed for two days on the functioning of the device for sharing data on credit, the evolutions recorded, the difficulties encountered and the solutions proposed for its further development. This is an opportunity to enable the office to carry out its mission, which is to facilitate access to credit for the populations of the eight states in the UEMOA

The Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Akou Mawussé Afidenyigba, welcomed this further meeting on credit risk management and the deepening of the crucial role of additional technological innovations to be promoted by the BIC, in order to best meet the financing needs of populations.
