Cumulative tourism revenues increased by 51% to 1.1 billion dinars (around 355 million USD) in mid-June 2022. The Central Bank of Tunisia highlights that after a drop of 82.1% in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, tourism activity had returned to increase in 2021 (+11.8%) under the effect of the easing of measures. Over the first 4 months of 2022, revenues stood at $244 million, up 35.2% year-on-year based on the bank's average monthly exchange rates, and 48% in dinars (736 million dinars).
