At the end of August 2022, the high level of inflation was explained by increases recorded in the “Transport” (+7.0%) and “Housing” (+6.0%) functions. On the other hand, “the acceleration in the pace of increase in the general price level is mainly due to the food component (+14.1%), having an overall contribution to total inflation, which rose by 6.2 percentage points in July 2022 & agrave; 6.4 points in August 2022.
