Between July 2022 and last June, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) invested 11.5 billion US dollars, nearly 7 trillion CFA francs, in 40 countries. This is the largest volume of annual funding ever provided to Africa.

The International Finance Corporation is the private sector arm of the World Bank. She announced in a statement that “between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, IFC invested 11.5 billion dollars in 40 countries, the largest annual financing volume ever made on the continent.” The Company believes that these investments aim to strengthen small businesses and boost local food production, including in challenging environments such as fragile and conflict-affected regions.

Similarly, it has invested $1.76 billion to strengthen digital connectivity, the development of telecommunication towers, broadband access and mobile Internet.
