The Tinga Fund, which is a government initiative, aims to initially electrify 305 communities in the Savannas and Kara regions. It will then be extended to the whole country. A few months after the launch of its pilot phase, the Fund registered 2,000 beneficiary households. The objective is to reach around 33,000 households during this first stage of the project. Thus, against payment of an access fee of 1000 FCFA, populations will be able to benefit from electricity and reimburse the balance over a period of up to 10 years.
