Negotiations with AFG Holding from Ivory Coast have reached an advanced stage with the conclusion of the deal. They thus confirmed the withdrawal of the group from this bank, waiting only for the green light from the authorities. The stake of Arnaud Lagesse's group of 30.29% is estimated at more than Rs 3.5 billion in this bank. The disposal of the 30.29% shareholder held by Arnaud Lagesse's group must be approved by the Banque de Maurice . La Shareholding Structure d' AfrAsia Bank is about to undergo a major change with the majority shareholder, Arnaud Lagesse's IBL group, about to sell its shares.
The IBL Group, has indicated its intention to realize its 30.29% of shares in favor of AFG Holding, which operates from Ivory Coast with continental reach in Africa. Currently, AfrAsia's shareholding includes these 30.29% of shares owned by IBL, 20.52% belonging to the National Bank of Canada , 23.08% to entities with less than 5% among others. After the formalities and procedures have been completed, whether in Côte d'Ivoire or Mauritius, the deal between IBL and AFG Holding should be finalized at the beginning of 2023.
