Last Tuesday, the emergency project to strengthen agricultural production in Burkina Faso was launched. The launch took place in Ouagadougou in the presence of the minister in charge of agriculture

The project implemented will contribute to the increase in the production of maize, rice, rice, soybeans, soybeans, sorghum, cowpeas and wheat in order to ensure the strengthening of the food security of the populations. The Emergency Project for the Strengthening of Agricultural Production in Burkina Faso (PURPA-BF) aims to ensure the availability and accessibility of quality agricultural inputs to farmers at a reasonable cost. In addition to strengthening the production of these various sectors, the project will contribute to strengthening the capacities of the agricultural sector advisory support system and to increasing the competitiveness of the agricultural inputs sub-sector

The PURPA-BF is a project that will be implemented for a period of two years and will be financed by the African Development Bank (BAD) group at more than 25 billion FCFA.
