Deux initiatives transformatrices ont été dévoilées par l' Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) and the Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers (CGIAR), as part of an alliance innovative.

The “African Scholarship Program” and the “CGIAR-UM6P Capacity Development Center” are the two initiatives unveiled by partners UM6P and CGIAR to reshape the landscape of capacity development in the field of science agriculture and the environment throughout Africa. Both initiatives were unveiled at a high-level event held on the university campus in Benguerir. The first, the “African Scholarship Program” represents a beacon of hope for young Africans seeking impact. It is a visionary initiative offering doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships designed to enable young people on the continent to engage in essential research projects

And the second, the “CGIAR-UM6P Capacity Development Hub”, aims to establish a solid framework for agricultural research and development in Africa. Its mission is to strengthen research, facilitate education, encourage collaborative research projects and joint funding, foster industry engagement, and address critical issues related to food security, sustainable agriculture, and socio-economic development on the continent.
