On September 20, 2022 in Abidjan, the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group approved a loan of 28.88 million euros to Senegal.

The municipalities of Yeumbel Nord, Keur Massar and Guédiawaye (Dakar region), Thiès (West), Kaolack (Centre-West) and Saint-Louis (North-West), which face between 473 and 11500 vehicles pass through them every day have received support of 28.88 million euros in Senegal. This sum was granted in order to improve the road network and transport in six municipalities of the country, and came from savings made under the First Program for the Modernization of Cities in Senegal.

Thanks to this loan, 28 kilometers of urban roads in asphalt concrete, paving stones and concrete will be built in addition to the 45.4 kilometers already completed.This loan will enable the construction of 28 kilometers of asphalt concrete, cobblestone and concrete urban roads to be completed, in addition to the 45.4 kilometers of asphalt roads, 21.6 kilometers of paved roads and the rehabilitation of 11.2 kilometers of asphalt roads already constructed. Similarly, work will be carried out on the sanitation of roads, public lighting, the construction or rehabilitation of huts dedicated to women's employment, which will be equipped to become restaurants and sheds, with a Center for the Advancement of Women.
